Scholarship & Awareness Internship

  • Awareness
    • Content creation for the Peace Project’s social media platforms and website
    • Content creation for the Peace Project’s awareness campaigns
    • Archiving social media content and monitoring trends
    • Assisting with networking and outreach
    • Brainstorming ideas for social media projects and opportunities
    • Scheduling content to be published on social media platforms at ideal times
  • Scholarship
    • Reading journal articles to extract and summarize specific details
    • Conducting relevant research to support research grant writing
  • Project Management
    • Coordinating scheduling of internal and external meetings
    • Summarizing networking and strategy meetings
    • Identifying potential organizations, scholars, activists and other professionals for networking opportunities
  • Passionate about social justice and human rights issues
  • Able to work remotely and independently with minimal supervision
  • Skilled in graphic design and video editing (preferred, but not required)

Outreach & Engagement Intern/Volunteer

We are currently seeking a part-time volunteer to support outreach and engagement activities among faith communities in the United States and globally. The interns will work part-time and in close cooperation with the outreach team. Meetings and status calls are scheduled every week.

    • Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities.
    • Prepare an annual budget for community outreach activities.
    • Nurture relationships with collaborative partners.
    • Create recruiting documents.
    • Conduct outreach efforts to get information/resources
    • Assist with program creation and implementation.
    • Conduct internet research
    • Support the administrative needs of the department.
  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated self-starter, creative thinker, and problem-solver.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Able to commit to 3-5 hours per week.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities under strict deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Substantial experience in grassroots mobilization, civil rights/issue advocacy;

Fundraising & Grants Internship

We’re looking for fundraising and grant interns who communicate and engage on a local level to increase income and create partnerships. The interns will work part-time and in close cooperation with the fundraising team. Meetings and status calls are scheduled every week.

    • Maintain strong working relationships with donors and partner organisations
    • Work on 3 grants within the course of the internship.
    • Organize one fundraising event
    • Email updates to potential donors
    • Ability to research, identify and develop new fundraising opportunities
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong research, prospecting and planning skills
  • Negotiating and influencing skills
  • Expertise in fundraising proposals design
  • Bachelor’s degree in development studies, non-profit management, fundraising, or related fields.
  • Prior industry experience is preferred (previous internships count)

Content Creation Intern/Volunteer

We’re looking for a content creator who produces content for social media platforms advertising the organization and its idea. The interns will work part-time and in close cooperation with the content and social media team. Meetings and status calls are scheduled every week.

    • Prepare well-structured drafts using digital publishing platforms
    • Edit and proofread written pieces before publication
    • Conduct keyword research
    • Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares)
    • Update our website as needed
  • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress, Canva, Keynote etc)
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English
  • An ability to fact-check long-form content pieces
  • Time-management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Graphic Design or relevant field
  • Prior industry experience is preferred (previous internships count)
